Teach the life skills kids need for everyday life

The Real Life Learning Guide gives families a simple, flexible way to help children understand themselves, connect with others, and build practical skills for the real world.

Across 36 ready-to-use lessons, children explore topics such as growth mindset, physical health, nutrition, inclusion, communication, leadership, money, entrepreneurship, and inner connection.

Each lesson combines age-appropriate learning with meaningful conversations and hands-on application, without asking you to recreate school at home.

Use one lesson each week, choose a topic based on what your family needs right now, or move through the guide entirely at your own pace.

Inside the guide:

  • Nine real-life learning topics
  • Four lessons within each topic
  • Clear learning objectives and explanations
  • Real-life activities and applications
  • Journal and discussion questions
  • Positive affirmations
  • Book and video recommendations
  • Guidance to help parents connect each lesson to everyday life

Built to fit into the pockets of your week

You do not need a new daily schedule or hours of preparation to make real-life learning part of your family’s routine.

Use the guide in the way that works best for you:

  • Complete one lesson each week
  • Choose lessons based on a current family need
  • Add activities to your homeschool routine
  • Use discussion questions at dinner or in the car
  • Explore lessons during weekends or school breaks
  • Let older children complete selected activities independently
  • Pair the guide with the optional Masterclass Library

There is no falling behind. The guide is designed to work around your family, not become another thing your family has to keep up with.

Nine topics for life beyond the classroom

Inclusion & Belonging

Build empathy, recognize differences, challenge stereotypes, and help children understand how their actions can contribute to a more welcoming world.

Communication & Relationships

Practice listening, expressing needs, understanding different perspectives, setting boundaries, and navigating disagreements.

Leadership

Help children recognize their strengths, take initiative, work with others, solve problems, and make responsible decisions.

Money

Introduce earning, saving, spending, giving, budgeting, and the choices involved in managing money.

Entrepreneurship

Guide children through turning an idea into a plan while exploring creativity, customers, problem-solving, and taking action.

Spirituality & Inner Connection

Real learning without recreating school at home

The Real Life Learning Guide is not another rigid curriculum to manage.

You do not need to:

  • Follow a strict daily schedule
  • Grade assignments
  • Prepare elaborate materials
  • Complete every lesson in order
  • Finish every suggested activity
  • Replace your current homeschool or school curriculum

Use the written lesson when you want structure. Choose the activity when you have more time. Pull out a discussion question when your family needs a meaningful conversation.

One guide, many possible Tuesdays.

Frequently asked questions

What ages is the Real Life Learning Guide best for?

The guide is recommended for children approximately ages 6–15. Younger children may need additional parent support, while older children can complete many discussions and activities more independently. Families with multiple ages can adapt the depth of each conversation for each child.

Is this only for homeschool families?

No. Homeschool families can incorporate it into their weekly learning, but it is also designed for families whose children attend public, private, charter, Montessori, or other schools. Lessons can be used after school, on weekends, during school breaks, or whenever a topic feels especially relevant.

How long does each lesson take?

Most families can complete the written lesson and discussion in approximately 20–30 minutes. Hands-on activities may add additional time depending on the activity and your child’s interest.

I would confirm this range before publishing. If some lessons routinely require closer to 45–60 minutes, change the wording to reflect that.

Do we have to complete the guide in order?

No. You can begin with the topic your family needs most, skip activities that do not fit your season, and return to lessons whenever they become relevant.

What supplies are needed?

Most lessons use common household or basic school supplies. Any activity requiring additional materials should identify them clearly so you can prepare ahead or choose an alternative activity.

Is this a religious curriculum?

The Real Life Learning Guide does not teach one specific religion. The spirituality and inner-connection lessons focus on themes such as gratitude, values, purpose, reflection, personal beliefs, and connection. Families can approach these conversations through their own beliefs and traditions.

What is included with the Masterclass Library?

The optional Masterclass Library includes 36 video-based classes that coordinate with the subjects and lessons in the guide. It is included only when you purchase the option specifically labeled Guide + Masterclass Library.

Add one sentence here stating the exact delivery method and duration of access.

Is a digital copy of the guide included?

No. This product includes the printed Real Life Learning Guide. A digital version is only included if the selected product option specifically states that it is included.

I would also place a shorter version directly beneath the variant selector:

Please note: A digital copy is not included with the printed guide. Masterclass access is included only with the Guide + Masterclass Library option.
